Transformer Oil

Transformers oils are used as a source of insulation and protection in transformers and electrical switches. The main functions of transformer oils are to insulate or prevent the flow of electrical current between the energized elements of transformers and electrical switches, to cool or remove the heat of the energized parts of equipment, and to protect the metal parts from the corrosive action of water or any other corrosive element that may be present inside the transformer. Transformer oil complies with international standard ASTM D-3487.
